Archive Garage has been designing and selling springs for over a year now, and we named our line of springs "The Explorer Series." The offroad community is all about exploring the unknown, discovering new trails and seeing nature from a new perspective. We've chosen to honor past explorers with our springs, as our customers use them to get out there and explore!
We started with naming the Tundra leaf springs the "Shackleton", and now it's time to name the Tacoma springs...
We've officially dubbed our Tacoma Lift Leaf Springs the ERIKSON, after Leif Erikson.
Leif Erikson, also referred to as Leif the Lucky, was a Norse explorer credited with potentially being the first European to step foot on continental America - a feat believed to have occurred around five centuries before Christopher Columbus. According to the sagas of the Icelanders, he established a Norse settlement in Vinland, typically known as the coastal regions of North America. Ongoing speculation suggests that the settlement attributed to Leif and his crew may align with the remnants of a Norse settlement discovered in Newfoundland, Canada, known as L'Anse aux Meadows, which dates back approximately 1,000 years.
Leif Erikson Day is a holiday celebrated annually on October 9th in the United States. If you grew up watching Spongebob as a kid, maybe you've heard of it!
